MS Photosynt

I’m not a microsoft fan :) but this is something really interesting
Microsoft Photosynt
from the site
a new technology from Microsoft Live Labs that takes a large collection of photos of a place or an object, analyzes them for similarities, and displays them in a reconstructed three-dimensional space.

It take photos from different people(eg community) of a specific place and it put in the correct point of view of the camera and try to reconstruct the complete place.
you can choose the different point of view and “navigate” the scene

at the moment only IE6, IE7, Firefox 1.5 and Firefox 2.0 on winxp or vista is supported
look at the demo of San Marco square
